A picture is worth a thousand words. This one is worth two points, a win, and a 2-0 series lead.
Ayton’s dunk reminds me of when Flight told Billy Hoyle-
Zubac definitely got dropped off before reaching the penthouse.
But, really, this was the turning point…
When Mike Breen said that Paul George had made his last two free throws I immediately said he is missing one of these. I was wrong. He missed both. So for all the Paul George playoff goodwill he had built up in the last week or so, well…
Couple the two misses by George with the fact that the Suns got an extra timeout when the refs went to the video monitor to see who the ball went out on after a Bridges missed three and Monty Williams had enough time to draw up the play and tell Ayton to dunk it. I find the fact that Monty Williams had to tell Ayton to dunk it hilarious. That is like me telling Florida Man not to:
Regardless of whether I say it or not it is happening.
But back to the game. Do you realize the last 9 seconds of the game took around twenty minutes of real time!?!?!??! 9 seconds took twenty minutes. Now all the women are wondering how they can bottle up the end of an NBA game and take it to the bedroom.
But, ladies, what you don’t understand is that it is like the end of a game in that it leaves you frustrated, more questions than answers, and hoping for an overtime that will never come. There never is an overtime when you want it. Maybe a mistaken tap or pat, but never overtime.
